Orlando Boy Band Member Shot on Subway

A member of C Note, a Latin boy band, created and based in Orlando was shot during an attempted mugging in New York City.

Lou Pearlman, Chairman of Trans Continental Records, said the youngest member of the group was shot in the leg during an attempted mugging on a subway over the weekend.

Jonathan Lopez, who turned 19 the following day, was in New York visiting family. He was taken to Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx and is expected to make a full recovery. The bullet just missed a major bone and artery.

C Note is a bilingual Latin pop group comprised of five young male singers and dancers who represent New York and South Florida by way of Puerto Rico, Cuba and the Dominican Republic.

C Note will launch a promotional tour in Puerto Rico and Mexico in early 2007 for their single "Forgive Me/Lo Siento" off their upcoming self-titled album. Lopez' injuries are not expected to hamper their tour plans.
